Maheshwari Public School, a leading network of 11 co-educational institutions in Rajasthan, India, offers a legacy of holistic education dating back to 1977. With a strong emphasis on academics, moral values, and all-round development, the school provides modern facilities and diverse extracurricular activities to nurture future leaders.

About the Project

Maheshwari Public School aimed to modernize its existing .NET ERP system while keeping its valuable data. The school needed a solution to seamlessly integrate a new event application, improve functionality, and streamline operations across all campuses, without discarding the old system. This complex project required innovative data migration, robust integration, and a scalable architecture that could adapt to the school’s changing needs, with minimal disruption to daily activities.

Problem Statement

Scattered Information- MPS operates 11 schools, resulting in a large amount of complex data spread across different locations. This made it difficult to locate and access information when needed.
Struggling Backend– The current backend system struggles to handle the demands of new technologies. A supplementary system was needed to seamlessly integrate and improve performance and scalability.
Limited Communication Options- Maheswari Public School’s size and complexity made it difficult to communicate across its many campuses and with its large network of staff, students, and parents.
Legacy Payment Methods- MPS’s use of traditional payments instead of online payments has made things harder for staff, parents, and financial tracking.
Lack of Transparency-A new system was needed to help parents easily track their child’s progress, attendance, and activities, to strengthen school-family connections.

Solutions

To address the complex and dynamic nature of the existing .NET-based system and its unstructured database, we transitioned to a Python-based solution. This allowed us to seamlessly integrate existing data while introducing a much-needed modern layer over the existing system.

Comprehensive Dashboard- A centralized dashboard was developed for school authorities to access real-time data on students, exams, fees, and other critical aspects of school operations. A comprehensive overview of school performance is provided and data-driven decision-making is facilitated.

Communication Module- A communication module was developed empowering teachers to seamlessly communicate with parents by sending circulars, news updates, and personalized notes. Teachers are empowered with the flexibility to address the entire class or select specific parents, ensuring targeted and relevant communication.

School Calendar Module- Transparency is fostered by enabling teachers and school authorities to publish holiday schedules, ensuring parents have easy access to all upcoming school breaks and important dates.

Teacher Diary- A teacher’s diary entry feature is provided for recording daily lesson plans, activities, and observations. Syllabus completion is tracked and insights into teacher performance are provided for targeted support and improvement.

Gallery Module- This module was developed where names, descriptions, and images of events and school activities can be added through photos and videos by teachers and other stakeholders. School spirit is enhanced and a sense of community among students and parents is promoted.

Teacher Performance Dashboard- Both teacher and student performance are tracked by the all-new comprehensive dashboard. Student results are displayed by section and subject, as well as individual teacher performance and class averages, providing a clear overview of everyone’s progress.

Automated Question Paper Generator- Teachers can input questions and their marks on our streamlined platform. Each question is reviewed for accuracy and relevance, and rejected questions are flagged for revision. The system then generates comprehensive question papers based on selected categories and total marks.

Renewal Form Report- A Renewal Form Report was introduced, allowing fees for extracurricular activities to be easily renewed by guardians and providing stakeholders with an overview of student form submissions, filterable by section, class, and year.
Mobile App For Teachers & Parents- A mobile app (Android and iOS) empowers parents to easily manage their child’s school experience while enabling teachers to seamlessly communicate with them. Features include attendance tracking, fee payments, transportation details, and timetable viewing.
