The Machaxi story of ‘The Founder’

Machaxi is a sports & fitness tech start-up established in 2019 to bring Academies, Players, Parents, and Coaches together in India. CO-Founder Tushar Raj is a sports enthusiast, and his passion for sports led him to establish a sports academy in Bangalore. Tushar’s background as a strong badminton player and his experience in the sports industry as a player, coach, academy owner, and parent allowed him to understand the pain points of players, coaches, and parents. 

Challenge

The main challenge was to create an app that could seamlessly integrate three different types of users (players, parents, and coaches) to access features such as progress tracking, attendance tracking, tournament management, and payment processing. 

Solution:

Auriga IT approached the Machaxi project by first understanding the client’s requirements and studying the target audience. The team then began developing a website where users can book trials and buy coaching and playing plans.

We created a mobile app that caters to all three types of users & allowed them to access the platform’s services on the go. The app featured a user-friendly interface for all three category of users:

        Players

• View stats,attendance,batch, Participate in tournaments & play
• Select from a range of sports that a player likes.
• Challenge other players and look for Machaxi Centers nearby.
• Monthly Performance Report & make easy payments.
• Buy Memberships (Coaching Memberships, Playing Memberships or Both).

         Parents

• If kids are underage, the parents can use the app and register and track the kids’ progress via the app.
• Track their child progress and attendance
• Due payment, Make payments online & Communicate with coaches

         Coaches

• Mark & Check Attendance of their students
• View Batches & their timings
• Review/Rate Players, Get reminders about pending fees

         Academy

• Academy get a web management panel to manage kids, fees, attendance, reports, payment reminders etc 
• Create batch & see batch proficiency, capacity, strength, monthly fees associated with each batch.
• See Player List, Coach List, Attendance Book, Edit Players Score, Rewards, Disable Batch Player’s & Payment Details.

Learn, Play & Shop

Learn- Machaxi offers coaching memberships plans & players can book trials to try them out. They can choose plans based on their requirements, each plan has its own benefits, and the players can apply coupons to avail extra discounts at the checkout.

Play- Using this feature the players can buy playing membership and go to any Machaxi center all over the city. Machaxi currently has 7 centers in Bangalore and plans to go to 50 by the end of the year.

Shop- Players can now earn rewards for booking a court & taking coaching from experts. They can redeem these reward points at the academy for sports accessories.

Access Centers with a Smile- Now access any Machaxi center with a smile, say cheese to Face Recognition Attendance. Now Time & Attendance Simplified!

Project Outcomes

• Machaxi achieved its goal of bringing Academies, Players, Parents, and Coaches together. 
• Now Machaxi hosts 76 Tournaments/Monthly & about 506 players participate Monthly, and the number is increasing exponentially.
• Machaxi reached a wider audience and increased their revenue manifolds; they have processed about 20090 transactions till date.
• The platform has become a go-to destination for sports enthusiasts in India.
